Guide
For TG ICET, a useful college page should not invent a national top-10 list when the OYM 100-college master does not cover the full counselling ecosystem. Telangana MBA/MCA counselling ecosystem; rank/counselling matters more than national-style percentile marketing.
Start from the admission system, not a generic ranking
State exams such as this are often tied to counselling, domicile/category rules, seat types and institute-specific closing ranks. Build your shortlist from the current official participating-college/seat matrix, then layer quality filters on top: accreditation, programme structure, total fee, batch size, median/average outcome where verified, city, and the roles you actually want.
Create three realistic bands
Use your score/rank to build a stretch band, a competitive band and a safer band. A “safer” college should still be one you would join. If the official counselling process publishes closing ranks by category/round, those are more useful than a generic percentile article from another year.
Compare value, not just headline placement
For a state-level MBA, fee differences can be large. Compare total academic fee plus living/commute costs against the typical placement outcome, not the highest package. Also check whether placement data is MBA-specific or institution-wide; a vague “up to ₹X lakh” claim is not enough.
Your application checklist
For every college, verify the exact TG ICET acceptance route, category/candidature rule, separate application requirement, counselling choice-filling code, fee, and latest placement report. Keep the official counselling portal as the final authority. If a college cannot be verified on the current seat/participating list, do not add it merely because an old article mentions it.
This approach produces a smaller shortlist, but it is much more useful than a long list that mixes stale cutoffs and unverified programmes.
Remove colleges you would not actually join
For MBA Colleges Through TG ICET, add three non-score filters before paying an application fee: the exact programme you want, total fee/financing burden, and the recruiting functions you care about. Then mark every college `stretch`, `competitive` or `safer` using the current institute policy rather than an old internet cutoff.
A shortlist becomes useful when it helps you choose between two real options. Ten names copied from an exam-acceptance list are not a strategy; five programmes you understand are.

Why On Your Mocks?
A mock score tells you what happened. OYM helps you understand what went wrong and what to work on next.
