Guide
Reading Comprehension in TANCET MBA is not just a syllabus label. It tests Direct comprehension under a broad paper.
What to practise
The section carries 20 in the researched pattern. The working approach is: Efficient passage reading and evidence-based options.
Do not practise this area only in isolation. Start untimed to understand the logic, then move to short timed blocks, then place it inside a full TANCET MBA mock. The full-paper stage matters because a method that works with unlimited time may be unusable when another section is waiting.
A concrete way to think about it
Separate comprehension from direct-language knowledge. For an RC error, locate the exact evidence or scope mismatch; for grammar/vocabulary, build the rule/meaning bank that CAT preparation may not have required.
The traps that cost marks
Spending CAT-level time on each passage. Turn those into review tags. After a timed set, do not write “silly mistake”; write the actual cause—misread, weak concept, wrong representation, overthinking, guess, or time sink. If one tag repeats three times, it deserves a specific drill.
A better review loop
Re-solve every wrong or slow question without the clock. Then solve a *different* question of the same type under time. That second step tells you whether you learned a transferable method or merely understood the solution you just read. For knowledge-based sections, replace re-solving with active recall: close the notes and retrieve the fact/rule from memory.
Readiness checkpoint
Complete two timed sets with stable accuracy and a repeatable pacing rule. Once you can do that twice in separate sessions, move more preparation time to full mocks and mixed practice. The aim is not to make this your favourite section; it is to make its score predictable enough that the rest of your TANCET MBA strategy can rely on it.
A focused practice block for TANCET Reading Comprehension Strategy
Start with 10 minutes of direct questions or recall, then 15 minutes under the exam's real pace, and finish with 5 minutes of review. For this page, the skill you are actually trying to stabilise is: Direct comprehension under a broad paper.. Efficient passage reading and evidence-based options.
Do not write “silly mistake” after review. Use one of four labels: `did not know`, `knew but chose a slow method`, `misread/overthought`, or `ran out of time`. The most common traps here are spending cat-level time on each passage.
Readiness test: The section is ready when your timing and accuracy stay stable in two separate timed sessions. Once that happens twice, reduce isolated practice and spend more time on mixed/full-paper work.

Why On Your Mocks?
A mock score tells you what happened. OYM helps you understand what went wrong and what to work on next.
