Guide

Your SNAP result is useful only when it is converted into programme-level decisions. SNAP 2026 allows up to three test attempts, uses the highest score for final percentile calculation, and states that there is no normalisation across attempts. Once the score/percentile is released, stop comparing raw marks in isolation and map the result to the Symbiosis programmes you actually applied for.

First, save the correct scorecard

Download the official scorecard from the SNAP portal and record the score/percentile exactly as reported. If you wrote more than one SNAP test, use the result shown under the official highest-score policy rather than manually averaging attempts.

Then separate institute targets

SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, SIIB, SIBM Bengaluru and other Symbiosis institutes do not all operate at the same competitiveness. A percentile that is a stretch for one programme can be comfortable for another. Use current programme-specific shortlist information rather than a universal ‘SNAP cutoff’ number.

Check the application, not just the score

The entrance result does not rescue a missed institute application. Confirm that you had separately selected/applied to the programmes you want and that your dashboard shows the right application status. Then note the next selection stage—GE/PI or other institute process—along with the official dates when released.

If the result is below your first choice

Build three bands: dream/long-shot, realistic, and safer programmes that you would genuinely join. Compare fee, specialization and placement context instead of dropping immediately to any college that accepts a lower percentile. If you also have CAT/XAT/NMAT results coming, compare the best college options across exams, not the prestige of the exams themselves.

The result page should end with a shortlist and an interview-preparation action, not repeated percentile calculations. Once applications are mapped, move your effort to the selection stages that can still change the final convert.

Turn the date into a preparation deadline

The current planning fact is: SNAP 2026 tests are scheduled for 13, 19 and 26 December 2026. Candidates may take up to three tests; the highest score is considered and there is no normalisation between attempts. Work backwards from the official test/administrative date: keep the last 5–7 days for strategy stabilisation and light revision, the prior two weeks for full mocks and targeted repair, and complete major concept work before that.

Also create a separate `college application` row in your calendar. Exam registration, institute application, score submission and counselling/interview stages are different actions; missing one can make a valid score useless.

Why On Your Mocks?

A mock score tells you what happened. OYM helps you understand what went wrong and what to work on next.
