Guide
Registration for NMAT is not just a payment step; it is where avoidable admission mistakes begin. NMAT 2026 registration and scheduling are live.
Before you open the form
Keep your academic details, identity information, recent photograph/signature and payment method ready. Use a personal email and mobile number that you will retain through the admission cycle. Match your name and date of birth to the identity/academic documents exactly; small inconsistencies become painful when admit cards or counselling documents are checked.
After payment you still need to schedule the test. The preferred date/time/centre is subject to availability, and the admit card becomes available for the scheduled attempt.
A safer registration sequence
- Create the account and verify email/mobile.
- Fill personal and academic details from documents, not memory.
- Select exam cities/attempts/programmes deliberately.
- Preview every page before final submit.
- Pay only once and wait for transaction confirmation.
- Download the completed form/payment receipt.
- Add separate B-school applications to your tracker.
Current fee reference: ₹3,000 + taxes for registration; retake ₹3,000 + taxes; reschedule ₹1,200 + taxes.
The common mistake: exam form ≠ college form
NMIMS is the anchor; TAPMI/KJ Somaiya/Great Lakes and others accept NMAT subject to current policies. Depending on the institute, you may need a separate application even though it accepts NMAT. That is especially important for a score that can be sent to multiple schools: registering for the test gives you a score, not automatic consideration by every college.
After registration
Do one administrative check before returning to preparation: confirm payment status, selected city/attempt details, uploaded photo/signature and the email used for communication. Then put the next action—slot booking, admit card, institute application or exam date—into the same calendar you use for preparation. Good application hygiene is boring, but losing an admission option because of a missed form is far more expensive than losing one practice day.
