Guide
With 30 days for NMAT, do not treat preparation as a race to finish every topic. Build the parts that transfer from CAT/other aptitude tests, then spend deliberate time on the features that make NMAT different: Adaptive testing; section order; retake economics; first-score NMIMS rule; no-negative strategy; official percentile interpretation.
30-day plan
| Window | Primary job |
|---|---|
| Days 1–7 | Diagnostic + highest-return gaps |
| Days 8–17 | Timed sections and unique-exam content |
| Days 18–25 | Full mocks + repair |
| Days 26–30 | Revision and strategy lock |
Daily structure
Use one deep block for the highest-impact weakness, one timed block for an exam section, and one short review block. A 2.5-hour day could be 75 minutes deep work + 55 minutes timed practice + 20 minutes error/knowledge revision. On mock days, replace the timed block with the full paper and protect separate analysis time.
Mock cadence
Take a diagnostic immediately. In the first half of the plan, use section tests plus one full mock every 7–10 days. In the second half, move toward one or two full mocks a week if you can analyse them properly. Do not increase frequency if the same errors keep repeating; another test is not a substitute for fixing the previous one.
What to review after every mock
Record: net score, attempts, accuracy, easy questions missed, time sinks, unique-section score, and one exam-specific metric—for example excess XAT skips, SNAP negative marks, NMAT section completion, or CET questions unseen. Then choose two changes for the next paper.
What to cut when behind
Cut low-frequency/low-return content before cutting mock analysis or the exam's unique section. The final week is for repeatability, not a new book. If your score is still unstable, simplify the attempt plan and protect the sections already converting marks. A realistic, repeatable score on exam day beats a larger syllabus you cannot execute under time.

Why On Your Mocks?
A mock score tells you what happened. OYM helps you understand what went wrong and what to work on next.
