CAT 2026 Last 7 Days: What to Study, What to Avoid and How to Arrive Fresh

Seven days before CAT, the syllabus suddenly looks enormous.

That is an illusion.

You are not supposed to finish CAT in the final week.

You are supposed to arrive on 29 November 2026 with your best available preparation accessible under pressure.

The final week is about retrieval, rhythm and logistics.

Day -7 to Day -5: close open loops

This is the last reasonable window for significant repair.

Use your recent mocks to identify a small number of issues.

Examples:

  • recurring percentage calculation mistake
  • DILR set-selection hesitation
  • RC inference trap
  • quadratic equation method you keep forgetting

    Repair those.

Do not create a list of 37 weak areas.

Day -5 to Day -3: shift toward retrieval

    Reduce new learning.

    Increase:

    • formula recall
    • error-log review
    • familiar DILR structures
    • RC option traps
    • QA methods you actually use
    • selected PYQs

You want the brain to retrieve known tools quickly.

That is different from understanding a new chapter for the first time.

What should happen to full mocks?

Follow the final-mock rule that suits your recovery pattern.

Some experienced aspirants may take a serious mock a few days before CAT.

Others should already be done with full mocks and use lighter timed practice.

Do not take a mock merely because your calendar says “Mock 32”.

Ask whether the test still has time to produce useful repair.

Day -3 to Day -2: practise without creating fatigue

      Good final-week practice:
